Welcome to the Third World Café, Chicago Hyde Park's leading coffee house located near the University of Chicago.

We offer excellent organic coffee, free wireless internet access with any purchase, and a multi-access kitchen providing a variety of healthy food offerings along with an assortment of freshly baked goods, including muffins and vegetarian fare. Our establishment is proudly named to honor the third world countries where coffee is grown. To that end, we purchase our coffee from Crop to Cup, whose beans are sourced from small-batch growers around the world. This socially conscious and fair trade practice, frequently referred to as Family Farmed Coffee, ensures that individual farmers receive a substantial premium over market prices.
